About me

Hi, I’m Maddy Belanger—a ceramic artist, teacher, and Nantucket native. I make functional pottery that’s meant to be used and loved every day—mugs that fit just right, bowls made for sharing, and custom pieces with personal meaning.

I fell in love with clay at a young age and never looked back. After college, I returned home and had the local high school build my own studio—starting with a backyard shed and a dream. Now, I split my time between creating small-batch and custom work, and teaching pottery classes through the Artists Association of Nantucket.

My work is inspired by t island life—soft, earthy, simple, and strong. Everything I make is built by hand, with care and intention. I especially love working with clients to bring custom pieces to life, whether it’s a set of mugs, wedding gifts, or something made just for you.
